Christian Pauritsch has a really fine speciality food shop at the front of the house, where all of the hippest Irish artisan brands are featured alongside great wines, and a bistro and tea rooms, serving proper afternoon tea, at the rere. The cooking is simple and unpretentious and fulfills Mr Pauritsch’s ambition of letting the quality of carefully sourced raw ingredients speak for themselves.
Paintings by local artists are featured on the walls, which adds to the air of a local artistic hub, and Partridge’s is a key destination in Gorey.
