“Delightful, a lovely house perfectly restored and very
comfortable.

Beautiful gardens and a great conservatory where we were given tea and homemade lemon cake on arrival, yummy! Breakfasts are great too and we had dinner one evening and it was delicious home cooking.” They are doing the good thing in Ballyogan House, are Robert and Fran, as the above testimony eloquently records. “The level of hospitality had me smiling all the way: beautiful house and lovely people” writes Eamon Barrett of his encounter with this gem in the heart of one of Ireland’s most beautiful areas, the Barrow Valley in and around Graiguenamanagh. The house is a smart, compact farmhouse with bay windows and a coffee-cream colouring, looking out over treelined rolling lawns and manicured gardens. The four rooms are lovely, the sitting room and conserva -tory places to plop down in and look forward to tea and cakes. Boats Bistro nearby is a good dining choice, and this region is one of our favourite places to be.
