Grichi

When in Waterford do try to track down one of the icon foods: Grichi Gallwey’s fantastic Gallwey’s Chocolates. These wonderful truffles are made in a tiny little factory in the basement of the Gallwey home in Tramore.

Grichi Gallwey began to make whiskey truffles back in 1992, then experimented with praline, and most recently has produced coffee truffles. These are utterly individual chocolates, lush, intense, almost decadent. You will find them in the best delis and wine shops throughout the country.
