Rudd’s Bacon

Andrew Rudd is one of the second-generation artisans working in Ireland whose youthful energies have given ever-greater dynamism to a model family food company. Rudd’s bacon and sausages were first produced by dad David and mum Pru, before the younger generation took over.

Now operating out of a state-of-the-art factory, Rudd’s produce superb pork products, which have their own idiosyncracies – the sausages and puddings are quite unlike anything else produced today – and yet which manage to work successfully in the mainstream.

Their widespread distribution is the triumph of good taste over bottom-line economics. (Busherstown House, Moneygall, Co Offaly, Tel: (0505) 45206)
