Cosgroves

Ah, Cosgroves! A grocer’s shop just as they used to be, with shelves stocked high and handsome with good things to eat, a real old-fashioned counter across which you order, and true, gentlemanly service.

Part of the fabric of the town, and the council should place a preservation order on it pronto for this is as vital a part of Sligo’s culture as Hargadon’s pub. If Ridley Scott walked in here, he’d be back shooting a Hovis commercial in the morning. Nostalgia is never lovelier than this.
