Well, you would have to try very hard to top Eamon Barrett’s summation of Ballyvolane, but the chances are that if you stayed more than the one night Mr Barrett allowed himself, up there in north east County Cork, then you actually could come up with something even more outrageously descriptive and praising of Justin and Jenny Green’s outstanding country house.
It’s hard to know where to begin when it comes to particularising what makes Ballyvolane so special: the beautiful house, the beautiful grounds, the beautiful food. But truthfully, it is Justin and Jenny, and their imagination and generosity, that make Ballyvolane so special. They have learnt well from Justin’s parents who first opened up the house to guests, and they have learnt well from their own professional work in the hospitality business. These two elements fuse in Ballyvolane to make a cocktail of pleasure that will have you giddy with sheer joy.
