We went with the kids, had a lovely dinner cooked by Katy in their lovely dining room before the show, strolled around the lake and the woods and found that becalming peace that this beautiful area gifts to you. Time then for the show, a packed house in the little theatre, and a performance by Aidan Dooley that fair knocked us out of our seats. The story of Tom Crean of Annascaul in County Kerry is simply incredible, and the performance matched the story every inch of the way: unbeliev -able. All our memories, all our associations of Neil and Katy’s lakeside hotel are as magical as this latest one. The McKennas simply love this place: its simplicity, its grace, its calm, its appositeness. All hotels should aspire to this model of generous hospitality, true Irish hospitality, a place where him ‘n’ her work their hardest to make everyone happy, and where everyone is happy. Amazing. |
