David Llewellyn makes red wine in north Dublin. It sounds impossible yet somehow he manages it.

Aside from this quirky hobby, Mr Llewellyn is primarily an apple grower and juice maker, and from his juice range he spins off cider, cider vinegar and a very fine cider balsamic vinegar, which is a mighty, almost treacly treat – drizzle it on fish or risotto to get the flavours to explode. A terrifically inventive artisan, his juices and juice products should not be missed at Temple Bar and Dun Laoghaire markets, as well as Brook Lodge in Wicklow.
