Happy kids at Bewleys Hotel

Bewley's Hotel at Newlands Cross on the outskirts of Dublin has become famous for offering unbeatable value with its flat room rate of £49 proving an irresistible draw to families and groups. Another attraction has been the friendly restaurant run by Frank Down and Fintan OıReilly, and a recent dinner here has shown that this duo continue to work super hard to improve their food. They now offer a truly exceptional childrenıs menu ­ stir-fried vegetables with some slices of roast beef and a healthy baked potato, sublimely good kids cooking which avoids junk ­ but other dishes such as their tiger prawns in filo, the marvelous baked potato skins with yogurt dip and salad and a properly made Greek salad show good judgment and good flavours. The staff are happy and helpful, which is more than can be said for some of the staff at the reception desk at the hotel...
