Hot Spots

suitcase

Whilst we are on the subject of holiday resorts and happy eating, here is a hotlist of places which should not be missed as you travel the country during August:

High Moors and Destry's in Clifden.
The Cherry Tree in Killaloe.
The Chart House in Dingle.
The Tannery in Dungarvan, and do order the apple dessert plate.
The Brook Lodge in Macreddin, Co Wicklow, for an overnight away from the stresses of Dublin.
The Customs House, Baltimore, West Cork, where Susan Holland's cooking is nothing less than mesmerizing, as well as the best value in Ireland People keep telling us about the memorably named, The Following Wind restaurant, in Burtonport, Co Donegal. Whilst up there, don't miss the lovely Corncrake and Da Dearga in Carndonagh.
