Red Star Biscotti
Okay.
We're hooked. We admit it. Red Star biscotti, made by Craig and Penny Nash
(famous in Belfast for the splendid Feasts deli), are amazingly fine biscuits,
the perfect partner for a mid-morning cup of coffee, and frankly we can't
get enough of them. The almond and star anise has some of the lingering, almost
jasmine-scented, fragrance of a Chinese steamed bun: the fruit and nut has
a long aftertaste of freshness which a winemaker would envy; the chocolate
and sour cherry is beautifully balanced, the most restrained in flavour of
the three varieties. You will find Red Star biscotti in an increasing number
of good coffee shops, and they are not to be missed. Get hooked yourself.
