Megabytes April 2004
Greetings
Food Lovers!
And welcome to Megabytes for Spring 2004.
We have been busy with some new books, as you can see below, and are already hard at work on a new edition of the Bridgestone Irish Food Guide, to be published this year. This will be the first time since 1999 that the Bridgestone Irish Food Guide will have been published in a single volume of over 300 pages.
So, why not play your part and tell us all about a favourite artisan producer, or a favourite food or food address. We know there are great producers out there for instance, have you tried the pork reared by Jens Krumpe, of Terryglass Organics and which you will find at Leopardstown market? Awesome is the only word! And what about Wicklow Blue Farmhouse cheese? Wow! but we would also love to hear about any other arcane, rare, high-quality producers who improve your life and your table. Email us now and lets celebrate the food culture.
Meanwhile, read on for everything from the re-emergence of two
of Dublin's greatest restaurateurs, Elizabeth Field on south Dublin's
hot new Indian restaurant, best value cooking in Northern Ireland,
hot food in Donegal, and lots lots more.
