Declan Ryan's wholemeal sourdough bread is, for our money, the best loaf you can buy in Ireland. And his rye and caraway sourdough isn't far behind it either. These breads show mastery of technique and the true baker's touch, making for loaves which, quite frankly, become the centrepiece of every meal, and which are virtually impossible to stop eating once you put them on the table. Anyone near to Cork city - where you will find them in On The Pig's Back stall - should simply load up the car with them and then pack the freezer, for they are the best.
