The
Chateauneuf de Pape Slow Food Convivium and the Dublin Slow Food
Convivium have joined to organize a very special tasting of the
great Chateauneuf de Pape wines on Tuesday February 25 in the
historical Newman House, St. Stephens Green, Dublin 2.
The wine tasting will be accompanied by a tasting of Wild Irish Salmon of the Presidia, special raw milk Irish Cheeses, Irish Spiced Beef and Venison. The evening will be attended by members of the wine trade, restaurateurs, sommeliers, journalists and Slow Food members.
Delegations from more than 20 Domaines and Chateaux will be travelling from France to stay in Dublin for the event. Their stay will kick off with a dinner in Ross Lewis's Chapter One Restaurant on Monday. After the wine tasting in Newman House from 3pm to 8pm on Tuesday February 25, dinner will be at Kevin Thornton's Michelin two-star Thornton's Restaurant. On Wednesday, the party will travel to dine and stay in Evan Doyle's Brook Lodge Country Hotel in Co. Wicklow.
