Dear John and Sally
I would like to recommend a deli/sandwich bar in Dublin called OCB's. All the food is cooked freshly that morning, e.g. turkey, the stock is then used to prepare soup. Sandwiches and salads are unique to the shop.
* Thanks for that, and it's always great to hear about new addresses where people do the simple things with care.

I didn't like your comment about 'the towering intellectual command of Marion Keyes'. In your review of Avoca (which I love also) you made a remark about the middle class being in need of satirisation. Surely one of most middle class of traits is intellectual snobbery. Yes, Marion Keyes' form of fiction is formulaic and geared towards the mass market but if you don't judge her books by their covers and enjoy them for what they are you will notice that there is a poignancy and intelligence that separates her from other practitioners of pulp fiction. And no I'm not related - just a fan!* Quite right about the intellectual snobbery, which is of course gloriously inconsistent: Marian Keyes is trivial, but Helen Fielding is sublime satire. It doesn't add up at all. And we do deserve to be satirised more: The Last Word's Navan Man christened us as John and Sally McKebab some years back, fearsomely trendy foodies with plans to have compulsory creches in all West Cork pubs.
Dear John and Sally
Have you ever thought of making the archive of recipes available online? Are they available elsewhere? Best rgds, Ollie* Thanks Ollie, we are hoping to put our archive on line, but are in the process of looking for a sponsor because of the cost of creating a database. Watch this space!
Dear John and Sally
I am going to Kilkee In Co Clare in June. And I am wondering do you know of any good book on food we can buy and good restaurants for Adults and Kids Debbie* Thanks for that Debbie. The Bridgestone Food lovers' Guide; The Travellers Guide should help you get the hang of County Clare, one of our favourite destinations. Happy travelling!
