"We had great fun," says Maeve Coakley of her collaboration with designer Beatrice Blake, and the result of this happy coalition of talents is blindingly obvious in the beautiful Blindgate House.

The design of the house is beautifully realised, and virtuously complete. "I took a theme, a grammar, which was designed to create a place that was peaceful," says Beatrice Blake. "I hate to go away and stay in a place that is discordant. When you are away, you need to relax. Our lives today are so busy, that you need an escape from all the traffic and the stress."
