Hot Titbit

Kitchen Graters

Elizabeth Field sends this hot titbit: Have you heard of Microplane graters and zesters? My friend Danielle in America forced me to buy the Coarse Grater, at $13.99, which I thought very steep, but she swore it was worth it. It is. The easy-to-use, razor-sharp "grater" (approx 6 inches by 3 inches) on a handle is great (sorry) for grating cheese, chocolate, etc. It was developed by professional woodworkers in the South, I think. You can check them out at www.microplane.com. You can get the gadgets over the Internet, they give a number of US internet retailer addresses.
