Gourmet Ghettos

If you're taking lunch at Ginger, then make sure to walk fifty yards further up the Ormeau Road to the excellent The Olive Tree Co., where owner Olivier and manager Aisling run a cracking show. Great lunchtime food, super for weekend brunch (it's open on Sundays as well) and shelves stocked with choice deli goods which have been expertly sourced.

At this rate, with the superlative Asian Warehouse and Dim Sum shop just down the road and a good wine shop just up the road, the Ormeau Road looks set to become Belfasts's newest gourmet ghetto, a title which the neighbouring Lisburn Road has held for far too long.
