Barron’s is one of Waterford’s finest traditional bakeries, with breads and blaas all made in their classic, traditional Scotch oven, with the bread allowed lots of time to develop and ferment, and with the final result offering nothing but sheer goodness. Esther and Joe Barron's bakery is simply wonderful, an archetype of what an Irish artisan company could be, should be, and can be. Their beautiful history of the bakery and the Barron family, “Our Daily Bread”, is an outstanding local history, and the bakery's importance to the pretty town of Cappoquin cannot be overstated.
