Bridgestone Guide editor Caroline Byrne perfectly captured the singular element that makes Heaton’s special, when she wrote that ‘Cameron and Nuala kept a constant presence should we ever have needed anything, and any request was instantly obliged’. That’s the secret of Heaton’s, and what makes it one of the best destinations in Dingle. It's a fine, modern, comfortable house, a short walk from the bustle of the town and with fine views out over the bay, a house where the owners always go the extra mile for their guests, especially when preparing the most sublime breakfasts. And a constant demand for personal improvement means that they are using the wintertime to embark on a major refurbishment for the season, in tandem with plans for David Heaton to open a restaurant just up the road in the town.
David is a fine cook, with lots of good experience in good restaurants, so this is a bold new step for both the Heaton family, and for Dingle.
