The Cavaliere family's Rinuccini feels just right. It is one of those rooms that basks in the restaurantness of a restaurant. Wood paneled, softly lit, elegantly clothed and napped, adorned with the paraphernalia of wine, the rooms feed us an image of Italian restaurants that may be more New York than Turin, but the effect is simply perfect.
It's a room to be happy in, to be glad that you are here. You might ask someone to marry you in this room. And the food completes the picture perfectly – ravioli with ricotta and spinach and tomato sauce; prawns with mustard and brandy; fettuccine with polpettine; mussels with tomato, garlic, white wine and chilli. If your boat has come in, then pay a visit to the cellar and enjoy some stratospheric Italian wines, including rare Super Tuscans.
